On September 13-14, 2024, a practical seminar was held at the Educational and Research Scientific Center, where Sulkhan Tabatadze presented the results of his experimental research conducted as part of his doctoral studies. The main focus of the research was the improvement of public website design and functionality, aiming to increase citizen engagement and enhance transparency in e-governance.
The study was based on the E-GovQual model, which assesses the quality of public electronic services and includes six key criteria: website usability, reliability, information content, interaction efficiency, user support quality, and privacy protection. The experiment evaluated how technical and design improvements to websites impact citizen engagement and trust in government e-services.
Key Findings of the Experiment:
Increased Citizen Engagement – Enhanced website design and optimization led to higher user interaction rates and improved accessibility of electronic services.
Strengthened Transparency – The research demonstrated that technical improvements increase trust in government websites and reduce bureaucratic barriers.
Improved Service Quality – Citizen feedback indicated that more intuitive and streamlined platforms significantly enhance the efficiency of public services.
The seminar was attended by doctoral candidates from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Georgian Technical University, as well as research fellows from specialized scientific institutions working in the fields of public administration and new technologies.
Participants highly praised the methodological accuracy of Sulkhan Tabatadze’s experimental research and the practical significance of the findings. It was noted that the approaches used in the study provide a solid foundation for the further development of public electronic services. The research conclusions will contribute to strengthening e-governance and fostering an environment that encourages active citizen participation.
The seminar’s outcomes are expected to be valuable for both the academic community and government institutions working on refining e-governance and improving services for citizen
